Hi maroha17, you have asked a brilliant and difficult question! Comparative psychologists have been working hard to crack this question for decades! However, as of today, no one task can be completely fair to compare intelligence across all species due to morphological differences. It is also not fair for some species if others are specialised in a particular sensory modality. For example, rats and dogs are very good at olfactory sense (smell) and birds are pretty good at vision, it will be not fair for birds to do a task that is designed for rats or dogs and vice versa. So, we definitely need more time before we could resolve this question! Does it make sense?
