      Hi Sophier17,
I am pleased that you are curious about our job 😀 – keep asking questions!
Depending on my research question, I do have to go to different countries and work with animals. Part of the work in research require us to present findings and meet new people in conferences, and conferences may be held in another city/town. If this is the case, then I do also have a chance to travel around the global 🙂

Yes it does and that is one of the exciting parts of our job. I travel to either gather experiences from children living in different countries or to present my findings across the world. Due to this I have lived in a variety of countries (Canada, Ireland and UK) and I have I’ve been to countries I otherwise might have never visited, such as Malaysia and Mexico.

It could do, yes. Mostly though as the research on happiness is quite questionnaire-based, it is usually the case that researchers from different countries work together to collect information from people in their various countries and put it all together. The wonder of modern technology!
