      Hi time364can,

In science and particularly in my research field, we have strict animal welfare rules and regulations to keep non-human animals in a comfortable standard. This standard also ensures that they are behaving in their natural way. Personally, animal welfare is the top priority of my science because if individuals are not happy, they are not going to provide valid and good data – this underlies a poor quality of science….So in my work, I do not have to deprive animals from food or water, putting them under extreme stress. I just need to work with their time – when they are happy to go to an experiment, they will come to me 🙂 – I am lucky!
Long for short – no, my work does not involve hurting animals and especially for those that are injured!
